SPECIALIST DRUG AND ALCOHOL TREATMENT SERVICES
Drug & Alcohol Services – Residential (Live in)
DetoxificationProgram: A 7-10 day fully supervised residential detoxification appropriate for clients seeking to detoxify from low range alcohol abuse and a wide variety of narcotics.
RehabilitationProgram: A 4 week residential structured rehabilitation program through case management and treatment planning. This program provides 24 hour support and supervision for clients.
HealthyLifestyleProgram: As part of its residential detoxification and rehabilitation programs, Watershed also offers yoga, tai chi, exercise, meditation & relaxation.
TherapeuticGroupProgram: A structured harm minimisation group program for: relapse prevention, anger management, conflict resolution, healthy relationships, and self-esteem.
Living Skills Program: Education on budgeting, shopping, cooking, gardening, house-cleaning, first aid and personal responsibility.
Health Promotion and Harm Prevention Program: Structured interagency liaison for Quit Smoking, HIV, Hep C, STD Clinic.
Case Management: Includes treatment, plan, advocacy and referral
Self-Help Program: Introduction to social support networks (NA/AA)
Assessment/Referral: Medical, psychiatric, health and social
Aftercare Program: Aftercare groups, referral and shared care
Drug & Alcohol Services – Non Residential
Watershed acknowledges that not everyone requires, or even needs, an intensive ‘live in’ program. To meet these needs, Watershed provides Educational & Therapeutic counselling sessions, both individual &/or Group, at our counselling centre in central Wollongong that people can attend on either a daily or weekly basis.
These groups are usually run over a 6 week cycle & the topics continually change depending on demand. The most preferred topics are: Relapse prevention, SMART, Anger Management, Self Esteem & Healthy Relationships
